louis vuitton damier canvas grimaud
i caved in to lust and temptation, and bought the louis vuitton grimaud bag from geneva. the bag's gorgeous, but i was hesitant about the boxy shape. it looks fantastic and is certainly eye catching, but somehow i find it impractical. i was disappointed that the interior wasn't lined in red fabric like their damier speedy bags, but in dark brown instead. it also doesn't come with a leather key fob which was featured on the graphite damier bags on the f/w 08 show. more importantly, i noticed that one of the internal rivets was missing. i thought long and hard about it, if i should keep the bag since asthetically the exterior was excellent. but i decided that i should bring it back for a refund or exchange, as i expect nothing less than perfect from la maison vuitton.
however vuitton doesn't offer a refund, not even when goods were defective on their part. they had another piece on display but the condition was less than satisfactory. i had wanted them to refund me the money so i can buy it from london instead. but in my mind i decided that i will not buy it from london, so that says it all: i do not like the grimaud bag afterall.
in the end, i topped up extra cash to get the very first bag that caught my eye when i first entered the store: the cowhide leather tobago keepall 50 in red...
