Day Three from Patong Beach, Thailand
Things are going well, we’ve been spending lots of hours in the pool, at pool side, and at the swim-up pool bar! My niece Maddyn has been out drinking us all, she can’t keep her eyes off those yummy Thai Singha beers, and mixed cocktails!
We’ve been spending most of our hours by the pool and at the pool bar… as you can see. But we have also done a bit of shopping and have been seeing the sights. Our first three days here have been pretty laid back and we are planning more adventurous stuff for later in the week.
Our mornings start with an incredible buffet breakfast with everything from rice and noodles to freshly made eggs, bacon, pastry, and little yum cha asian delectibles. Everyone we have met here has been really wonderful and the Holiday Inn is a wonderful resort.
Birdie has been working hard on staying imune to the heat by having a few beers and trying on new hats.
Tomorrow (Thursday), Bronwyn (my sister-in-law Amanda’s Mother) and I are going for a full day of scuba diving. I’m excited I’ve found someone interesed because it seems that nobody else is up for it. I can’t wait! I’ll have to break down and buy an underwater camera to capture the event appropriately. Amanda, Mum, and the baby will be going off and doing shopping tomorrow at the big shopping centre and Dad, Birdie, and Brad will be going to do some go-cart racing (on almost normal size cars).
